    Victims of Crime Advisory League (VOCAL) stays busy

    VOCAL panel is busy. Twenty citizens appointed by Mayor A C Wharton, Jr. to an advisory panel to shape new public policies affecting crime victims have been in weekly meetings downtown. The group has been asked to first help determine how to improve the response to sexual assault victims at the Memphis Sexual Assault Resource Center (MSARC). One of the appointees is Connie Ross, executive director of the Family Safety Center.

    FSC Introduced To Community
    At a historic event produced by a collaboration of nonprofit agencies late last year, a community-wide domestic violence crisis was declared by Mayor A C Wharton and District Attorney Bill Gibbons.
